Asst. coach Enck brings Northern flair to Blue Devils

From the “Big Apple” to the “Biggest Little Football Town in the World” — Jeffrey Enck is bringing a New York state of mind to the Maiden football team.

The Long Island, N.Y. native will coach the Blue Devils’ wide receiving corps for the first time this fall season.

Ryan Gettys taking over two Tigers tennis programs

Ryan Gettys is returning to coaching at Fred T. Foard High School.

The former Tigers head football coach is taking over the boys and girls tennis programs at Foard.

Gettys had been at Bunker Hill High School as an assistant football coach this past two schools years and also taught personal finance, planning and marketing at the school.

Harvey fans eight in his third outing for GCL Orioles

Former Bandys standout pitcher Hunter Harvey had the best start so far of his professional baseball career on Thursday.

The Gulf Coast League (GCL) Orioles pitcher allowed no runs, no hits, one walk and struck out eight batters in three innings against the GCL Red Sox.

Harvey’s eight punch outs were part of 15 total team strikeouts.
