Milton Eugene Cline, 85, of Newton died Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Catawba Regional Hospice, Newton. Memorials may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church.
Mai Zoua Vang, 39, of Morganton died Feb. 15, 2013 at her residence. Burial will follow on Sunday noon at Catawba Memorial Park.
The American Legion Post 16 held it’s annual Officer/Firefighter of the year awards at the legion hall Monday, Feb. 25 at noon.
A Lincoln County woman was arrested Monday evening and charged in connection with a pair of pharmacy robberies in Newton and Conover.
The woman’s daughter, 19-year-old Chandra Griffin, who was in the vehicle when her mother was taken into custody, also faces misdemeanor drug charges, authorities say.
Bernard Forney Huffman, 84, of Newton died Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. The Huffman family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
