Going Green could possibly be a new motto for Catawba County. Just last week, Catawba County Board of Commissioners approved the rezoning of 31 acres on Sigmon Dairy Farm Road for a new solar farm for Straya Solar.
Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Timothy S. Kincaid of Newton has told the Observer-News-Enterprise he will retire from the judicial system after more than 28 years as a judge in North Carolina Judicial District 25B, which is Catawba County, when his current term ends in December 2014.
