Newton Fire is preparing for its new home

The Newton Fire Department is currently operating out of the same headquarters it has been in for more than 50 years.

However, next year they hope to have a new home to move into.

“One on O-N-E” is a weekly segment in the Observer News Enterprise newspaper, which poses a question to three random local people.

Red Devils take down Indians on mat for win No. 8

Both coming off solid tournament wins during the weekend, Newton-Conover and St. Stephens collided on the wrestling mat Tuesday.

After the dust settled, the Red Devils picked up their eighth win of the season with a 50-9 take down of the Indians.
