BREAKING: Mustangs forfeit 3 games, drop to 4-4

DENVER — For the second time in three seasons, East Lincoln is forfeitting a win on the gridiron.

Mustangs athletic director and head football coach Mike Byus sent out a press release to local media Wednesday morning notifying them of the school's decision to forfeit its first three games of the season.

Detectives seek tips on string of break-ins

DENVER — Detectives have released a photo of an apparent break-in underway late last week and are asking for the public's help in identifying a person appearing in the photo.

The incident is believed to have occurred Friday in northeastern Lincoln County, a little more than a mile south of the Catawba County line.
