Barry B. Edwards, who has served as Catawba County’s Utilities and Engineering Director since 1995, has been named one of the winners of the 2013 Energy Leadership Awards by the Business Journal of Charlotte.
Traffic was slowed on N.C. 16 South on Monday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., after a three car accident involved a Catawba County Schools school bus and three other vehicles. Highway Patrol officials said the pile up was the result of a driver failing to brake. The accident began with a Chevrolet Malibu failing to brake and colliding with a Chevrolet Tahoe.
