NEW ORLEANS — Ryan Succop delivered a huge kick in the gut to the reeling New Orleans Saints.
Succop kicked six field goals, one to force overtime in the final seconds and another from 31 yards to lift the Kansas City Chiefs to a 27-24 victory over the Saints, who remain winless through three games since coach Sean Payton was suspended in connection with the NFL's bounty investigation.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Jamal Jackson threw three touchdown passes and Appalachian State scored 34 consecutive points to erase a 10-point deficit and defeat Chattanooga 34-17 Saturday night.

CHAPEL HILL — Shane Carden twice directed the East Carolina offense to long first-half drives that stalled at the worst possible time. And when things slowed down after halftime, the Pirates were left to lament those missed chances.
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Jordan Reid threw for three touchdowns, Andre Clarke ran for two and North Carolina State outlasted Savannah State 45-33 in an offensive shootout Saturday night.
Reid was 22 of 34 for 241 yards of the total 545 yards for the Eagles (2-2, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), while Clarke ran 12 times for 117 yards. Savannah State (0-3, 0-1) amassed 428 offensive yards.
