Hornets suffer first loss against Golden Bears, 20-14

Facing their first road test of the season on Saturday, the Catawba County Hornets suffered their first setback of the season, falling to the Richmond County Golden Bears, 20-14.

The Hornets fall to 2-1 in the Central Carolinas Football League, while the Golden Bears improve to 1-2.

Sara Reid Fairchild, 70, of Alexandria, La., passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at Matthews Memorial Nursing Care after several years of declining health. Bass-Smith Funeral Home is serving the family of Sara Reid Fairchild.
