Hickory Post 48 continued its hot winning streak, picking up its 10th Area IV West Division victory of the season against Shelby Post 82 on the road Monday, 10-3.
The win against Shelby is Post 48's sixth straight, including four against West Division opponents.
The Hickory Crawdads moved into first place in the Northern Division Second-Half standings with a 6-2 road victory over the Kannapolis Intimidators on Monday.

Francis “Frank” Howard Cogger, age 91, of Conover, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. The Cogger family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation in Hickory.
