After an hour rain delay on Monday, Cherryville Post 100 rose as the lone undefeated team in the American Legion Area IV West Division on Monday.
Post 100 took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and never looked back, handing Hickory Post 48 (8-2, 6-1) its first loss in West Division play and second overall.
Cherryville improves to 10-1, 3-0 in the West Division.
