Former race car driver Jeremy Mayfield may lose his home and land through foreclosure in addition to criminal drug and theft charges.
The home and more than 450 acres owned by Mayfield and his wife are scheduled to be auctioned off April 30.
Foreclosure documents filed in Catawba County show the couple owes Carolina Farm Credit more than $3 million for loans borrowed in 2006.
After minor disagreement among board members Monday, Catawba County commissioners approved a political agenda for 2012.
The Catawba County Board of Commissioners approved 21 legislative goals to lobby for and against during upcoming state and federal sessions.
Mayors and other government officials throughout Catawba County are banding together to spread the word about preventing child abuse, an issue that has become more important than ever in recent years.

Hickory won the out-right girls title at Saturday's Catawba County track and field championships at Bunker Hill High School on Saturday, as well as a co-championship in boys competition with Bunker Hill.

Bandys guard Madi Story finished third in the voting for the Associated Press girls prep basketball player of the year.
The voting results were released on Saturday with Story, the Catawba Valley 2A player of the year, receiving two of a possible 22 votes.
