Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss the next two races with his second concussion in the past six weeks, ending the championship chances of NASCAR's most popular driver.
The first concussion, suffered in a crash during an Aug. 29 tire test at Kansas, went undiagnosed until Wednesday, when Earnhardt was examined in Charlotte for lingering effects from Sunday's crash at Talladega.
A southern Lincoln County homeowner arrived home around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday to find a car in his driveway and several males standing outside the vehicle. The man called 9-1-1 and reported a crime in progress.
Runners filled Newton's Southside Park Wednesday, Oct. 10, for the 20th Annual United Way Unifour Cross Country Invitational. Thirty-five schools and more than 1,050 runners participated in the annual event.
